If you’re looking for that female singer who stops you in your tracks and commands your attention, then look no further.
Natalie Duke has been singing professionally since the age of 8, every day since she began she has spent cultivating her talent, and it shows.
The entire time I was listening to her album, I kept trying to figure out who I could compare her to, so I could paint you a picture, but the truth is, she sound like herself. Her voice is soothing, unique, refreshing, soulful. Remember those hours we used to wile away, singing into our hairbrushes as little girls? It was in those days that I WISHED I could sound like Natalie.
The songs on “Blacksheep” are fresh and incredible. They are empowering, make you smile, laugh, and connect with them. They evoke raw, real emotion. If I had to describe this album in one phrase, I’d simply say “Sheer perfection.”
It’s THAT good.
